donc voila la bio:
The Calling à l'origine, c'est une histoire de famille... ou de belle-famille ! Nous sommes dans les hauteurs californiennes. Aaron Kamin, guitariste compositeur, sort avec un joli petit lot qui lui ferait presque oublier que la Terre tourne. Reste que la bimbo en question a un petit frère, Alex, dont les cordes vocales ne laissent pas indifférent Aaron. Devenus inséparables, les deux mélomanes fondent Génération Gap avec une paire de papys rockeurs.

L'aventure dure jusqu'en 1996, date à laquelle ils sont remarqués par la maison de disques RCA. Une seule condition s'impose à eux : se débarrasser des vieux croulants du groupe. Aaron et Alex se lancent en duo sous le nom The Band Next Door. Mais leur seule marque de succès sera une apparition dans le film «Coyote Ugly», dans lequel ils interprètent leur futur tube : «Wherever You Will Go».

En 2001, le tandem décide de gonfler ses rangs et accueille Sean Woolstenhulme en seconde guitare, Billy Mohler à la basse et Nate Wood aux baguettes. La bande de The Calling est née. S'ensuit un premier album orchestré sur le pouce par Marc Tanner, le producteur d'Aerosmith. «Camino Palmero» est consacré par les médias du monde entier et remporte un MTV Award en tant que révélation musicale de l'année.

Au sein du groupe cependant, rien ne va plus ! Sean quitte la formation, très vite suivi par Billy et Nate. Loin des ragots et de leur étiquette «boy's band», le duo des origines se concentre alors en studio pour peaufiner leur second opus. «Two» envahit les bacs en 2004 et multiplie depuis les sets acoustiques.
